And for the record I have nothing to do with Catt's 'lunar cycles'... While I am occasionally a Lunar Cow and very rarely a Lunar Rover... Talking to me has not yet been equated to a monthly kick in the stomach.

Well not recently anyway.

Rain... so much rain....

My Six-string Samurai DVD came. I am so cradling it to my bosom. The rain came, and I am hiding from it indoors, a Zack snipet came, but it's stupid and who cares... I should get back to work on shading my grumpy elves.

oro?

Oh boy, it's Valentines day again already...? When the hell did that happen. Wasn't it, just last week or something?

I know! I'll run out and get Twig... more easter candy! What better way to celebrate the day for love, the lack of it, and my deep and abiding urge to marry for copious gobs of money than by buying little chocolate eggs for your friends commemorating the DEATH OF JESUS... because chocolate is brown you see... and so was the cross... and hmmm to go to a party or not... if I go. I can jettison the unopened bottle of champeign in the fridge from my b-day (since neither twig or I are big bubbly drinkers unless it's vanilla coke)... on the other hand, I'm at the office until after 7 today... so I will so be the tired old foggey sleeping in the corner as the friends all get down and jiggy around me...

Sleep, party, anime club? sleep, party, anime club?

So many choices. Bellandy... hmmm she'd be cooler if she was randomly hit in the head with bricks through out the show... like season 3 of Slayers with the Decadent Amelia Bashing.

Boulder drops on princess, house drops on princess, GIANT drops on princess... it was the best.

I love buffy... And now I will update my website... before midnight... right...

Edit:
Ok, site up, new art, new FF9 fic... new brains... go, go and be free, just wipe your feet 'kay? Special thanks to Catt and Twig for help with the new poll question. And for the record, on the question of "what does syd do in his spare time?" It is a three way tie. He apparently knits, manipulates the lives of loved ones, and dreams of being a rock star... likely all three at once... *imagines Sydney kniting*

So very cute

meatworld attacks!

Ushicon == cosplay-a-go-go I even saw 'KaoNashi' from Spirited away, between that and the Onizuka, I was more impressed than I was in Dallas. B-kun suffered through me looking for OnePiece trinkets, and then wanting to go to various pannels, and then got his revenge by making me watch more spiral with it's decadent fingerpointing. I got revenge by watching more Getbackers... 'Getbackers... more bishonen than you can take a bat to and all of them freaks.'

The thing that was coolest was the comicbook pannel (ironically the only one I could sit all the way through) which has inspired me to work on the 'sulky elves' thing again, although it will go nowhere, of course. I need a better idea. I have one, but can't draw space, go fig.

aaaaand a deep breath....

Happy Birthday B-kun

there, that's the end of the January birthdays, good thing too since we're out of January. The airconditioning at the office has made my hands numb, brrr. But hey, tickets to london are still cheap... and it's even colder there! *drum roll*. This Eat-man '98 soundtrack is really rocking my bones, between this and my Dick Dale CD I am up to my eyebrows in funky surf stylings. This deserves some sort of creative output, but sadly surf guitar and smut seem to have nothing in common... mmmm back to playing with kitties while faking air-guitar.

According to my alumni friend B-sempai (not to be confused with B-kun) I have another package heading my way... this makex six packages that I am expecting/ have been expecting in +/- 14 days ... some of them are quite overdue. Six... Where the hell are they?! The BILLS are getting through ok, but nooo not anything actually FUN or CHOCOLATE FILLED... wankers... someone at the postoffice is laughing at me again. I just know it.

Far be it for me to get on the slavering fan-wagon for anything (well maybe Richard Chamberlain) much less Harry Potter... but hey, This link is bound to start making the rounds around the net... and hey, his fangirls are even motivated enough to add the appropraite banner... man is this girl going to get alot of hits in the next few months... After a little thought, I cautiously approve. He can act, has demonstrated ability to cope wth long hair without looking rediculous... he's got an evil eyebrow, and is just un-pretty enough to keep the slash-happy at bay... hmmm... maybe I'm just biased because he was adorable in 'Seven Years in Tibet'. We'll see.

Inspired.

Kurai does indeed kick ass ("Meow" indeed) and so does her link to SomethingAwful which has not one but 3 good articles available for your reading pleasure, including an interesting editorial tracing the history of video game sex from 'Custer's Revenge' over to the latest and greatest 'Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball' game featuring the breasts of many popular animated heroines... Go read it, it'll make you look smarter when talking smut with your friends.

Or something.

I want Twig to be a library science major... then someday I too can become a library science major, and she can hire me.... and then we will need another 2 library science majors, and we can have an anime. I'll be the one in the evil looking glasses and the outfit with the fewest bows... She'll be the chipper blonde-who-knows-things, and is good at recruiting new people. Come on Flidget, you know you want to try it too... ^_^

Thorne, whine away. Atleast the time my machine tanked like a hot tamale, I had exactly 3 hours warning, which was enough, barely, to get critical files off. *looks at the laptop shelf of shame* I still have it, ironically enough, a perfectly good Mac 1400C powerbook, if only I could figure out what the hell was wrong with it, I'd be golden... however it really needs to have one if not all of it's gutsy bits ripped out and fed in again, and now that it's prettymuch a 'for archival use only' piece of hardware, my gig or so of mp3s are pretty much gone... sigh, I had some good ones too... So yes, they're wankers! Wankers! hate them. *looks at the thinkpad 760el also on the shelf of shame... You might as well be broken you ass piece of retrograde... I should probably boot the thing eventually, just to see if it works...

Not as Vulgar as it sounds.

First with the funny Do you know your arse from your elbow? Link compliments of GlassShard over at BloodyHell! (or find the link on the side). So when you see the checkmark, you've guessed right, and when you see the 'x' you've guessed wrong... apparenlty I dont spend as much time as people seem to think watching asses because I only managed an 8 out of 14... comeone... give it a try, it's fun.

My only other musing of the day is that I wish I could get on with my VS writing... the last 'part' of the story in my head is just a niggling little splinter that buggs me and won't go away. If I could just get it out, then I could go "there. see? a VS story that spans 4 distinct books, and 2000 years of waffy snarky violent fun... and I'm done now... except for the occassional short story, thanks for playing!"... I could get on with my new little world with Martin&Isaac&Isaac's nutty parents&Val&Az&wild magical zany fun... and steal just the good bits from my fanwork to create a newer better sharper funnier more action packed world... Or hell, maybe just go on to write that Suikoden fic I've been promising myself for...ever... or the FF7 idea even though nobody will read it... but in the end. Nope. The best I've managed all month is when I poke Ellcrys and BlackRose with their own VS endeavors. I'm a has been... bad fangirl... bad... no cookie.

... I want to play VS again...

what an odd name...

So I suck and I'm catching up on my bloggs from last week... Twig, so sure a search hit for "twig boy" is funny, but now I actually want to play Shadowman to see what the person meant to browse too... I mean come on... voodoo, zombies... the undead... and one bad ass zombie taking on the hordes of the dead? Sounds damn fun... and hell if we can screencap TwigBoy, I'll put it on a t-shirt for you. Muahahaha.

Thanks for the hoppy-Blam! tip Catt, I haven't worked up the momentum to learn what the hell you're talking about, but I'll try it on one of the solitary little sheegoths and see if I can work up a tactic... but not this week... my anger must cool at the DevilGame, or I really will be an insufferable roomate all next week too.

Twig: Don't rar at me, RAR!

I hate everything, especially Nintendo.

Anybody want to buy a copy of Metroid Prime? I think I'm giving up. I don't need this much pain in my evenings. I do tech support for a living already, I'm all topped out on pain. I haven't even played it for 4 days, and I still am feeling the hate. It has officially exceeded fftactics for a game I nolonger can tollerate enough to beat, no matter how much I like it.

I need a gameShark (tm) or something. Or I need Catt to get me past the sheegoths because even though I don't completely suck, I suck enough that 4 IN A ROW, is a bit much. Yeah. Whatever. So who wants to buy a copy of metroid? I know, I'll loan the whole system to my friend at work. He had expressed an interest in seeing Eternal Darkness anyway.

I like ents

finally saw "The Movie" agree with what everyone else said blah blah blah forget the actors, I like the ents best, makes my inner ludite go "hurray, smash down the industrial facists! Go tree go!" And all that rot.

The problem with the need to label the silver haired baddies, is what do you do with good guys... I mean sure there aren't many of them all things considered. And hell, Yue probably counts as 'bad' if you squint just right, but even then he really had all the sexuality of a pretty paving stone (then again, seeing what the fangirls do to him, never mind). But what about completely useless little guys like Arislan, sure we could argue his hair is periwinkle not silver, but... nevermind. He has loyal retainers to be bad ass for him I guess.

I'm going to sit back and let the experts decide this one, in the mean time... another Zack snippet for the fangirls. Don't ask me to explain, I don't know what I was thinking anyway. I like it better than the last one, but it's alot shorter too so go fig.

For Twig

So yeah, at 2 minutes each, they weren't much of a distraction.... but hey, silly entries for your Angel drawing contest... Muahaha... well not official entries, since I'm a judge and all, but I figure they make up for the old stick art that I lost that time. Anyway they're roughly in order of age, errors likely:

Me and MS_Paint. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Awe crap I forgot Begini...? Bagatelli? Bertie? damn he doesn't count, I'll paint Ariel's shirt a different color and that'll do it ^_^;

Two words: Half pipe

So yeah, oddly I figured out the evil plant boss for Metroid Prime while in class yesterday... you know, got done teaching the part of the seminar about configuring new adminsitrative software accounts, and was sitting there as they did the associated exercise and I thought to my self, "Strafe, stun, shoot mirrior, strafe some more! I so stupid!"

So next time you're in class, and your TA or instuctor is looking bored and mooning out the window while making you do busy work... just remember, they could actually be deep in thought about how to comit plant murder with extreme prejudice.

It took 4 more tries, but venus-fly-trap-from-hell went down like a good weed. It was fun. Now I am playfully collecting missle expansions in the snowlands... mmm snow so pretty, I like making shegoths go boom. I also like halfpipes. Roll little ball! Roll! This game begs for a crack, the worlds themselves are clever and pretty, it's just that you have 30 seconds to appreciate it before SOMETHING eats you or reduces you to meaty jibblets. Infinite health would go a long way towards making my life easier ^_^ or hell I'd settle for regenerating health. If I wasn't going to finally take the plunge and see the Two Towers tonight, I'd go world walking, but between movie and japanese class, I think I'll be wiped out.

Catt I stand in awe of the amazing "Ho" tendancies you imply... to think my ff7 figments do nothing but (a) fight eachother, (b) gang up on others (c) plot to gang up on others (d) make big things go boom. 12 year old boy, I tell you. I've got the brain of a 12 yearold boy. Doesn't help that I've been watching the He-man cartoons again, secretly, when twig's not home... god I have to draw her an angel.

Maybe after I study for Japanese...

I Am not my Metroid Prime.

Catt you are a sick sick monkey... I will not be able to get the images inspired by your little dialog out of my head even if I scrubb all day with clorox. Damnit I don't understand you people and your adoration for making /that/ man a cuddly extroverted sex fiend. I just don't. I love you for it, but it's just a little TMI. In other news, please please please tell me how to beat the evil plant boss in Metroid?

I suck apparently, I mean I can tilt two of the mirrors while he is stunned, but 3? 4?! I mean I can stun him and get to the first two, but by the third one he's woken up, then he bitchslapps the mirrors back into shape and I am so screwed. Is there some trick I'm missing? They should put a warning on this game "Not for Lunars, they're too stupid to ride this ride."

My love-affair with toys at the office is paying off as my more conservative cube-buddy has just brought in a bobble-head toy to display proudly *looks at my little tower of trademarked character stuffed animals & UFO dolls* No wonder they think I'm a strange one... but whee bobble-head!

La de de la de da

It amazes me that Twig got through college without ever eating a pint of icecream for her dinner... I mean, I know I live with guys too much, but we all have to have our tendancies... personally Spaghetti-o's always remind me of that scene in Indiana Jones where they serve the girl eyeball soup. Not that spaghetti-o's and eyeballs have much in common... one being pasta and the other protien... but yeah... something...

This weekend has been pathetically unproductive. In order to distract you from my overweaning incompetence, I give you: Ranting ala Mooncalf and... OnePiece Scripts, and... and... a Zack snippet. Right then, ignore me I have to be reasonable for a few days while I chaperone mother. I'll have updates nextweek or something... and a new years resolution, yes, one aside from vowing to never eat icecream again, and trying to get more earnest hair... *snigger*

Another great fanpage...

Hn I was going to finish off this educational set of links with the now infamous IronChef slash fic... but I can't find it right now... believe me, your eyes thank me for this. I know Mine do...

Yet again I dearly wish I had been a little smarter about not chosing a domain name with an underscore in it... ISPs being fickle things... if only I could figure out how to mirror this stuff to a URL that doesnt suck... maybe I shall do research.

Stormy Weather...

So... it's 70 out and pouring buckets worth along with a chance of tornados, yeay Texas. For once I don't mind being at work, I can park my car towards the inside of the big garage and figure it safe from hail. Not that there'll be any, but it's fun to tease my dad. He has this weird notion that I should go hide in a box everytime it rains heavy. *sigh* Paranoid much...

Christmas shopping is done, I think. Now... for christmas cleaning! And getting through a solo day at work... because everyone else is on vacation "Thank you for calling support, would you like to (a)tell me your problems with your hardware (b)stop whining and shut-up (c)go home because it's the day before Christmas and there's nobody on your end to do the troubleshooting I'm just going to make you do anyway? Yee-haw... and happy holidays

So I realized I forgot to get a present for Baka... maybe I'll go back to the craft fair and get another picture... or maybe I'll send him the one I picked out for mom, and get her something else... decisions decisions. Must also finish art for Blackrose... someday.

I'm now up to "Courageous Adventurer" in my archive-naming-scheme... this worries me because soon I'll be out of ranks... will have to start on rooms maybe... >_< or pick a new game to theme myself off of... naaaaah.

Hey Thorne, I confess that I too am the mad macking master of... karyotpye... what-the-fuck... why am I even joking about this. I can't even spell karyotype reliably... I'll leave the pontificating to the so-called-experts. I just like hearing about things that can be bred to become my flying-monkey-horde of death.

Here are some links to inspire future biologists to lend a hand in my dream...MonkeyMen Attack!, The Competition, and... some historical precidence...

So you see, instead of recruting, I think it would just be easier all around to build my own... what do you think?

Oh and in other news, for those of us going through MH inspired Zack withdrawl, I have another fic snippet... so shoot me.
